We supported climate action by funding the Palmerston North Interfaith Group to deliver Climate Clarity, a full-day programme designed to educate, inspire, and empower young people to take meaningful action on climate change.

The event brought together 39 students from eight schools and one home-schooled participant, creating a collaborative space for learning and innovation. Throughout the day, students engaged with four expert speakers who shared insights into the climate crisis, practical solutions, and pathways for positive change.

In interactive workshops, students worked in small groups to develop proposals for local government and schools, focusing on actionable steps to reduce emissions and build resilience. Break sessions provided opportunities to learn about local climate initiatives and funding options, reinforcing the message that youth voices matter in shaping a sustainable future.

Teachers attending the event highlighted its value as an extension of the curriculum, noting its role in addressing climate anxiety and equipping students with tools and confidence to advocate for change.

This impactful programme was made possible through collaboration with:

  • Palmerston North City Council (PNCC)
  • Enviroschools
  • Horizons Regional Council

Together, we are building a future where young people are informed, supported, and ready to lead on climate action — turning concern into hope and ideas into action.
