A Rocha Manawatu

A Rocha Manawatu is the local branch of the New Zealand division of A Rocha, which is the Christian conservation organization, that now exists in 20 countries. Its aim is to enhance care for the living world and its environment among all people worldwide. There are five branches in NZ. A Rocha Manawatu grows native trees and shrubs from eco-sourced seed. This is done at our Propagation unit at the SDA College, Walkers Road, Longburn, where we currently have c.7000 trees. We plant these out at several sites including the Pit Park and on a farm in the Pohangina valley on land destined to become a QEII reserve.

We meet every fortnight on Sunday afternoon, usually at the Propagation unit 1.30-3.30pm. See the events calendar for our next meeting date and/or contact us for details about upcoming meetings. Volunteers welcome.
